Its fine, really its ok. However I'm not using it in my car.
By Andrew Clausen
I bought this product to use it as a screen for my Raspberry Pi computer. And I have to say that is is just ok. I am not blown away by it at all, but it does a fine job for a monitor I snagged for $35. There are many things I can say about this montior that are bad: the color is off, it flickers a little, the image is blurry, there are no speakers in it, it is heavy, it uses a PS2 connector to plug into the rest of its cords... But I am still happy for what it is. I had previously purchased a 3.5 inch screen that had the same resolution as this monitor for my Pi and that was a mistake, the images were way too small and blurry to make out. The unit's resolution is a meager 480 by 234, so the pixels are very large and noticeable; which is fine because you need them to be large if you want to see anything clearly on a monitor with resolution as low as this one. But of course it is a small unit, so I forgive it and I already had it running happily off of a 12v battery supply. After reading some of the other comments I may try getting it to run on 9v as well. I am going to do some testing to see if I can't get it to run off of a 5v source. A unit like this would be great in making a hacked together hand held console game unit. Also the circuit board inside on the back does not contain any components that are fixed to the board with epoxy blobs so all of its components are easy to get to. A voltage regulator inside provides a handy 5.5v that could be exploited; but I have no idea how much extra abuse that tiny regulator could stand up to before it dies.

All in all it isn't a bad monitor. It's not great, but just good. The picture is a little blurry, but it was also cheap and the plastic it is made out of feels sturdy so I love it anyways. This is my standing opinion, just so long as it doesn't die on me for a reason that I can't fix.

Junk.....
By Richard G. Durham
I bought 3 of these and only one worked pretty well. The other 2 were dead on arrival. The design is good, but quality control is non-existent. The one that works flashes every now and then, but otherwise works. If you want one, order three and send back the ones that don't work.....

Garbage
By John Mathews
The pair I received started to flicker lightly from light to dark. On one of them I tried to adjust the color but could not. Very poor quality. I do not recommend these monitors to anyone. I guess it's true what they say....you get what you pay for. I will be purchasing a better quality monitor next time. Lesson learned.
