My Pioneer Prs80 arrived without a harness that plugs into the back of the unit. Ordered this and it arrived promptly and worked perfectly.

It fits...That's the best I can say for now

Let me start by stating that my head unit s a Pioneer DEH-80PRS. With that said, I received the wire harness yesterday, and while I haven't re-installed the head unit (I left the original harness installed in the car I sold, as I replaced my head unit with a lower-end Pioneer unit, thus the reason for needing a replacement harness) in my new car, I did test fit the harness into the back of the head unit. I can say, contrary to what has been reported by other reviewers, that the harness DOES fit perfectly, and it DOES click into place, exactly as the original harness did. I also checked the wire colors & positions against a Pioneer wiring chart (provided, thankfully, by Crutchfield, whom I ordered the install kit fr the old car, and from whom the install kit (dash kit, antenna adapter, etc) for the new car is coming from), and everything matches up correctly.
Now the bad news. With the exception of the ground wire, all the wires coming out of the harness appear to be the same length as the original. The problem is with the ground wire. On the original, the ground wire was at least twice as long as all the other wires, but with this replacement harness, the ground wire is EXACTLY THE SAME LENGTH AS ALL THE OTHER WIRES. What this means is, in all but a few extremely rare cases, you will have to extend the length of this wire by attaching another wire in-between the end of this wire, and your "ground point". As anyone who knows anything about the transfer of electricity, they will know that, with each additional connection, this increases resistance. I'm not saying this is going to cause any actual problems, as it's only the ground, but the fact that the ground wire is so short is slightly on the "irritating" side. If they had made the ground wire the same (ie. twice as long) length as it is on the original harness, it would have increased their manufacturing cost by only a penny, or two. Once I have the head unit installed in the new car (which won't be until next month, ie. August 2013), I will update this review.

I ordered this for my son, who needed it for a wiring hookup in a vehicle. The part was exactly what he needed. Since I have no clue to what he was doing anyways...I can only give his reaction: "Awesome! Just what I needed". :)
